Disruption was created as a projection of the emotions that people and especially artists felt in the lockdown. Yet another form of creativity born through the numerous lockdowns, the performance moves between feelings of fear, calm, anger, passion, frustration and the uncertainty of the future where the need for love, understanding, acceptance and support is essential for all in the world.

Beginning and end, creation and destruction of the world, immaterial, life giving, omnipresent, Primordial and necessary, continuous and incessantly, rhythmical and eternal, mysterious and marvellous, sacred and intelligent.
A dance work with ecological allusions formed and created via the coexistence and enacting of dance and sound as it is structured during the investigation of the performativity, the expression and the musicality of the polyrhythmic sounds of the human breath

Dance Gate Lefkosia - Cyprus presents, within the framework of the 'Cultural Decentralisation Program 2022', a series of walking performances/actions at the Botanical Garden / Troodos (A.G. Leventis) in collaboration with the community of Amiantos.
The Troodos National Forest Park is part of the 'Natura 2000' network and is located at an altitude of 1,400 meters and within the boundaries of the Amiantos asbestos mines. The project is a production of the Cultural Services of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports and Youth of Cyprus.
Focusing on the practice of performer/choreographer Arianna Economou and curated by Dr Kostas Prapoglou, the three-day event entitled Earth Voices developed in its duration a multifaceted programme of actions. This incorporated a series of walking performances inspired by the past and the ancient imprint of the area, its ecology, the role of plants and mythology. We also explored the healing and resurgence process in relation to the former amiantos asbestos mining and the significance of the remediation of the biodiversity and the ecosystem of the area.

How does my body remember nature?
How deep is its imprint on my existence?
How do I surrender to a world of constant change?
Plastic, charcoal, ice, stone, skull... in what ways these materials speak about our world today?
Three performers on stage, using materials, movement and sound, create the ever-changing landscape of a fragile world, while tapping into our memory of its past and our imagination of its future.

"What does it mean to feel trapped into your own body? Not to be able to speak out, to shout, to sing, to cry? To feel like being a silent cry?"
Echo who has been punished by Hera to repeat only the last words uttered by others, and she has been deprived from her own voice, falls hopelessly in love with Narcissus who drowns in the dark waters of a lake, absorbed by his own reflection to which he falls in love.
The myth becomes the base for a research on the sound of the body and the "body" of the sound. Through repetitions of gestures and movement phrases, music soundscapes of emotional intensity and visual images that create an outline of the myth, the narration at times dissolves into an unidentified darkness and at times reveals like the choreographic language, the essence of the myth in a direct, detailed and crude way.
